We Got Our Visa!

Well much has happened since my last blog. We GOT OUR VISA! I was feeling very happy, surprised in a way found it difficult as it meant that we now needed to decide if we were going to go or stay put. So what did we do next well we had to get our stamps done so decided to visit OZ for the second time this time with kids in tow. Just packing for the whole family was mammoth task thinking about what we needed for the long journey with toddler and 9 months old. So all went well.

We landed on Saturday and went to stay with cousins there. They were so welcoming and have a little girl same age as Reese and little boy who is nearly 2. Reese latched on to them straight away so this really helped. On the first day we went for a picnic at the beach and I remember thinking how lovely the place was and what great life it is.

So really enjoyed rest of our stay there did lots – beach, parks, picnics etc Kids enjoyed it too was like a holiday and I had to look past that and imagined what it would be like to live there. Of course the weather was great really hot 34 degrees. In fact it was too hot but we just had to be sensible of when was a good time to go out generally after 4pm was great else in the afternoon midday we would only go shopping centres etc where there would be air con. Although we did used to hit the beach early around 10am and then find a good shaded place to sit.

OZ has great facilities lots of shaded areas in the parks. Good facilities for children such as having a parent room in Mandurah park. All beaches and parks were so clean the people there really do respect the place. People really are friendly there and very relaxed slow pace life. I think I would need to adjust to the slow pace life, here in London it is very fast pace. I get frustrated when a car in front has not moved to go on amber traffic lights! So yes I will need to slow down.
